TEHRAN – Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting’s World Service will air “Loneliness of Leila”, a social religious Iranian TV series in Arabic, English and Persian, during the month of Ramadan.

The TV series written by screenwriter Hamed Anqa and directed by filmmaker Mohammad-Hossein Lotfi is currently in the production stage, producer Mohammadreza Shafiei told the Persian service of MNA on Monday.

Fifteen episodes of the TV series have been produced so far, while the episodes are being simultaneously dubbed into Arabic and English in Syria, he added.

“‘Loneliness of Leila’ is a good program to be aired during the month of Ramadan for its central theme. The series is not a simple depiction of life; it seeks the right and good roots of life,” Lotfi said earlier.

Behruz Shoeibi, Akbar Zanjanpur, Hassan Purshirazi, Nasrin Moqanlu and Andisheh Fuladvand are among the major cast members of the series.
